October 13, 2011 33 Weeks, 7 days

When I first became pregnant and learned about the triplets my personal goal was to make it to 34 weeks!

I have made it quite far without many complications.  The carpal tunnel is now getting worse in my left hand too.  I can't wait for that to go away.

I found a triplets recycling group on Facebook.  I recently purchased an octopus and turtle stuffed bottle holder.  There are a few more things to buy...

Also this week we bought at 2011 Peg Perego triplette stroller and three 2010 Peg Perego car seats for $900.  What a deal.

My parents will be home from their trip tomorrow.  So I could go into labor anytime.

Sleeping at night.  Sometimes I wake up 5-6 times a night to go pee.  Other nights I can wake up just twice.  I can't figure it out.  I think it has to do with how active the babies are.  I also am contracting more in the evening than during the day.  I don't know why?

This weekend we will do our usual Sam's Club run.  This will probably be my last one as I am wearing out quickly these days.  I can't bend over comfortably, so often when I drop something, I take notice, and then have to walk away.

32 weeks, 3 days pregnant with triplets

I made it to another milestone!  Yeah, I continue to do well.  I am resting a lot now as I have for the last two weeks.  If I go for a walk it is about six houses down and back and very slowly.  The heat is really bothering me so I often don't go outside during the day.  I can't believe that I have less than 19 days left now.  I am really excited.

Last Monday I had diarrhea and on Wednesday I was diagnosed with a yeast infection, I didn't see that one coming.  I have only gained about a pound in a week.  So far I have gained about 42 pounds.

29 Weeks, 5days pregnant with triplets

I am still pregnant, thankfully.  The terbuline is still working and I am getting used to the side effects.  My carpal tunnel has returned, but much worse in my right hand than before.

As of last Tuesday the babies were weighing 2.9, 2.6, and 2.5.  I am glad that they are staying together.  I wonder what it must be like for them being all together in there.

I have now decided that I don't want them to come out.  I want to keep them there where I know it is safe and peaceful outside.

I have been doing too much around the house and I need to take it easier.  Tomorrow I am going to try my best to veg on the couch and in bed.

Oh yeah, on Sunday we had pictures taken of us at home.  I hope they turn out great!

28 Weeks, 1 Day Expecting Triplets

Well, on Thursday I woke up still feeling contractions, but I felt a little different.  I was experiencing a tingling sensation down below.  I worked a half day and then went to the hospital to get monitored.  I found out that I was having more contractions than I thought and I was dilated a cm.  I got a shot of steroids and Terbutaline.  The Terbutaline seemed to help, but the side effects were not that great, racing heart, breathing changed, and a nervous shakiness on the inside.  I got a Rx for the terbutaline and didn't sleep much last night.  The steroid shot seemed to really help the temporary carpal tunnel that I have acquired.

The babies were scanned and all are measuring 2.2 lbs and one is 2.4 lbs.  The amniotic fluid levels look good, hearts look good, and they are all active.  We think one of them has a Goodstein nose.  I can't wait to meet them, but I want to keep them in another four weeks.

I am so sad.  I was so looking forward to the end of the week when I would be done with work and then at home able to do things around the house and rest.  Now I can't do anything around the house, just rest.

My friend Debbie and her husband came by last night and dropped off some of her grandson's clothing and bottles too.  Debbie also got me started on some of the necessities like, hooded towels, washcloths, preemie sleepers, onesies with matching pants, and baby nighttime lotion.

Last Saturday we drove to Palm Harbor and met the kindest lady who gave us 18 Dr. Brown's 4 oz bottles, lots of 0-3 month clothing, and the best pregnancy C shaped pillow.  I love that thing.

26 weeks, 6 days

I am now back to work for three weeks.  I am about to finish week 2.

My feet are still swollen and I have developed carpal tunnel about a week ago.  I have only gained 3lbs since the last posting.  I have gained a total of 35 lbs.

On Tuesday I went to the OB.  I was measuring 36 weeks and found out that according to research, there are no advantages for going over 33 weeks.  I think there are, like weight gain.  The doctor says the lungs are developed among the triplets.

Yesterday I started having contractions.  I think it was from dehydration.  Today I had a few more.  I can't wait to be home and just rest.

August 10, 2011 24 Weeks, 6 Days

I am doing well.  Last week the pregnancy caught up with me.  I mean I noticed swelling of my feet and ankles at the end of the day and pain in my feet after standing for 15 minutes or more.  So far I have gone from 127lbs to 159 today, not bad.

The new carpet should be here today so we can begin putting the room together.  All of the babies are doing well.  Even though I can't wait to see and meet them I know I am the best incubator!

20 weeks Pregnant with Triplets

I am doing well.  All of them are doing well too.  I didn't gain much this week and I am still exercising.  I am walking about 6-8 miles/week and doing some light bicycling.  Weight gain so far has been about 23-24 pounds.

At exactly twenty weeks I finally felt baby Michael move with my hand.  I have been feeling them all move around since around 15 weeks.

Bending down is getting to be uncomfortable.  Sleeping is still fine on my side with an edge of the pillow wedged under my belly to support it and not make my back uncomfortable.

19 weeks pregnant with triplets

I had my 18 week scan a few days ago.  EVERYTHING was great.  The nuchal was thin, the pinkies were perfect, kidneys were functioning, the heart was beating and pumping as it should, and the umbilical cord was looking great.  They also verified that they were all boys.  I am still feeling pretty good.  I didn't take a picture of myself last week, so I am a week behind.

We are in the process of cleaning out the back room.

Yesterday I purchased three cribs without the mattresses from IKEA for a whopping 49.99 each.  I later decided to go back for the changing table and wall shelf.  I am getting excited.

Name ideas...Michael, Max, and Maddox.

We recently purchased out new vehicle that will hold everyone plus stuff.

17 Weeks, 4 days Pregnant with Triplets

It's been a while.
On Week 15, we found out that they were ALL boys!
On Week 15/16, we took a trip to New York and then I took a separate trip to Maine.

The triplets are still measuring the same within a day or two.  I have a level two ultrasound scan next Tuesday.  Hopefully the news will be good.  I am doing well.  I am measuring about 21 cm.

May 19, 2011 Pregnant with Triplets

Tomorrow I will hit 13 weeks.  All are doing well and are so much fun to watch.  On Tuesday we tried to take a peek to see what each was, but they were not cooperating.  I feel that I will start feeling them move in a couple of weeks.  They are now or will be three inches long, crown lump length.  That means 9+ inches of baby.  My uterus is just below my bellybutton.  I am feeling good other than tired.  I am working at gaining weight.

On another note, we have eight days of school left.  I am then headed to Chicago, first time, and then Maine.  These two trips will be the last for a while.

12 weeks Pregnant, May 14, 2011

I stopped the Crinone gel last Friday.  Everything is going well.  I think I am a little less tired.

Tuesday's scan went well.  They saw a nasal bone and did the nuchal assessment.  Our skin thickness was something like .1 or .7.  It needed to be far away from 2.5 mm.

I can feel my uterus growing and I am slowly gaining weight.  I was told to gain another 10lbs in the next 9 weeks.  That should put my goal around 144 by week 20.

May 6, 2011 11 Weeks Pregnant with Triplets

Today I am 11 weeks pregnant with triplets.  A couple of days ago I watched the fraternal twin's feet walking up the sac and then pushing off, twice!  Today they were all moving around.  It is amazing.  They are only about 1.5 inches long.  For the first time today the identical set look like they were sharing a sac.  We are hoping that they are not since that is very, very risky.  On Tuesday I go for my first maternal-fetal medicine appointment.  They are going to look each baby over for 30 minutes and I suppose assess our risks.

Once again, all I can think about it is please just give us healthy babies.

April 28, 2011 9 weeks pregnant with triplets

I am almost done with week 9.  Week 9 has been uneventful, thankfully.  I had morning sickness last Saturday out of nowhere???  I was exhausted this week.  I thought that it had gotten better.  Thankfully I am very healthy and everything is going well.  So far I have gained 4 pounds.

Last Saturday we went to Babies R Us to begin registering.  That was a little overwhelming with all of the choices that they have.

On Wednesday we did another ultrasound.  Each of the babies is measuring the same within a couple of days.  Their heartbeats sound great.  I could listen for so long.  I love those little guys.

When I was pregnant with singletons twice before I assumed they would be perfectly healthy babies.  Maybe because I was much younger and naive, but this time, I am really praying that they are healthy and as full term as can be.

Michael told me on Tuesday when he came home from his overnight trip that  as long as we have each other everything would be okay.  I feel the same way.  My husband brings out the best in me.  We are such a fun pair.  We can't wait to start OUR family.

April 22, 2011 Week 9 Pregnant

Today I am nine weeks along.  All three babies are doing as expected.  Today I saw two of them moving.  I can't wait to see what they are.  I think they are all girls.

Also, I experienced my first bout of morning sickness.  I think it was the turnkey bacon.  It came over me so fast.  I am glad for that.  Nobody likes feeling nausea.

April 15, 2011 8 Weeks, 0 days Pregnant with TRIPLETS

On Tuesday, it was confirmed triplets.  I got to hear the heartbeats of each.  One is hard to find.  I am exhausted.  I have been exhausted for two weeks now and it has even gotten me a little down.  I think we will wait until the second trimester to start buying anything.  I have a feeling that the third trimester may be quite a challenge for me.  I am praying that I can keep them inside of me for at least 34 weeks.  That is my goal!

April 10, 2011 TWINS 7 weeks, 2 days pregnant.

As of this past Friday I now have two heartbeats that we can see.  We are very happy as the thoughts of triplets is overwhelming.  I think this weird spotting that kept occurring only during the night may have been then third one.  My ovaries are still enlarged.  One has a 6cm cyst still.  I am not feeling it, thank God.

Today I am 7 weeks, 2 days

Yesterday we found THREE heartbeats!  That would help explain the high beta numbers.

Twins vs Singleton

My first beta was high so I was thinking twins.  The second beta was progressively high.  I was thinking twins, but my husband who is an ob/gyn only found one gestational sac at week 5.  I really thought that it would be twins.  I even thought maybe I saw another spot on the ultrasound.  I asked if maybe, maybe he was missing one, nope.  Well, today, Week 6, day 4, we found one heartbeat in one sac and saw a second sac, but didn't explore it due to him getting paged.  We shall see next week.

Last night I spotted, literally a few red spots when I wiped, but because I didn't have cramping, I went back to bed.  Of course, that was after I consulted the internet for 20 minutes and then woke him up to tell him.

It is still super early and we are getting excited.  I have been saying, "if I'm pregnant," but I was only saying that because he didn't want to get his hopes up and admit it was a sure pregnancy.  I guess I have a 5% chance of miscarrying now that we saw a heartbeat.  He referred to "it" as a girl a few times tonight.  One of his nurses said that she dreamed it was a girl.  The same nurse told me, before she ever knew, that she dreamed one night, that I was having twins too.

My OHSS is so much better.  I feel a little different in the belly, but feel normal.  I am one pound from my normal weight.  I think I am done losing the extra fluid weight, as my weight has remained the same for three days now.  The ultrasound showed some fluid still in the belly.

March 29, 2011 22dp3dt Beta #3

Beta #3 15, 649

I am feeling better now.  I am not having any morning sickness and my weight and discomfort is lessening.  My waist is still a whopping 36'.

Monday, March 28, 2011

March 28, 2011 24dp3dt

I have a confirmed pregnancy and a confirmed gestational sac.  The next worry is, will I get a yolk sac?

I went back to work today.  My normal weight is 127.  It went up to 137.?, but it is now down to 132.  I feel much better now.  I am still monitoring my fluid/urine and I am producing more urine than I am taking in by about 20 ozs/day!  I seem to excrete more at night.

March 25, 2011 OHSS

I am so upset right now.  I have spent like all week laying down on my back.  I can't even sit for too long before the pressure in my stomach and on my back happens.  Nobody has told me how much to drink and drinking just fills up my stomach and makes me hurt.  Going down to the doctor's office is a feat with a 30 minute drive and then a short wait in the waiting in room and then sitting on an exam table, most of the time I have been laying down while waiting, it's that bad.  I am feeling rebellious tonight and I don't feel like drinking.  I have missed the gym for about a month now.  That means not spending time with my honey.  This week he went twice without me and didn't come home til about 7pm.  All I can do is just about lay down, get up for short periods, but then it starts again and I have to lay down.  I would have liked to go to dinner or a movie tonight, but I can't stand sitting for that long, especially for a meal.  I am feeling so discouraged.  I hate my couch!  I am disappointed that there is only one sac too.  I want to find out that one is hidden.

Oh yeah, when I thought that my waist was down a little and measured....it's NOT and neither is my weight.

March 25, 2011 18dp3dt

Thursday, March 24, 2011

March 24, 2011 17dp3dt

OHSS seems to be better in the morning, meaning I can sit up longer.  I seem to be putting out more urine than I am consuming liquid.  I think that is good.  I am still not back to work because I am so uncomfortable sitting up after a while.  My weight is still 8 lbs above the norm and I am waking up every night and having a little snack.  This morning my stomach didn't hurt when I woke up.

Today I go back to monitor the OHSS.  I hope that I start feeling better soon.  I think I am starting too, at least at the beginning of the days.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011

March 22, 2011 15dp3dt

I went for my Beta test today.  There was a problem with the machine, but they were able to tell me that I was over 1,000.  Tomorrow I will know my exact numbers for Beta and progesterone.  I am going back on Thursday to check on OHSS.  I have gained 10 pounds.

My blood work from Saturday came back okay.  My white blood count was slightly lower than normal, protein a little low too.

Monday, March 21, 2011

March 21, 2011

OHSS is miserable.  The bloating is so bad.  It isn't even bloated, my whole abdomen and sides are puffed out to the max.  It is uncomfortable to just walk.  Today I have had two small bouts of diarrhea and that painful spasming stomach again where I get sweaty and want to cry from the pain.  I didn't vomit though.  I would say yesterday I vomitted from the pain.  It is not morning sickness.

Sunday, March 20, 2011

March 20, 2011 13dp3dt

I drank so much Gatorade, and other liquids yesterday.  My belly was so swollen and tight that my sides were tight too.  This morning I woke up again with severe pain and then I was throwing up the 8oz. that I was starting to consume.  Last night I woke up four times to go pee.  I hope that my intake is starting to match up with my output.  Today should be better.

Saturday, March 19, 2011

March 19, 2011

I have been diagnosed with OHSS and I am very uncomfortable.  I am very bloated, painfully.  I got another positive test yesterday.  My Reproductive Medicine group in Tampa is awesome to see me today.  They also ran some blood test to check my electrolytes, potassium, and other levels.  I have put 4 lbs on the scale in a couple of days.  I am suppose to keep a liquid in and urine output record.  On the ultrasound that found exactly what Michael had found, but more.  On the transvaginal ultrasound they saw all of the follicles.  One follicle is measuring 3cm.  They also found fluid in the upper abdominal areas and lower.  They said it would be 7-10 days before symptoms were gone.  Having the positive pregnancy test with an embryo making hcg is making it uncomfortable.  I still go for my beta on Tuesday.  I am anxious to see if my numbers are high for twins.  As of Tuesday, 3/22, I will be 15dp3dt or 18dpo.

Thursday, March 17, 2011

March 17, 2011 10dp3dt

This morning I got a darker pink line in 5 minutes.  Since I got such a faint line two days ago, which would have been 8dp3dt, I wonder if it could be twins???

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

March 16, 2011

Today I spent the day at my sister's house.  I was bloated from the time I got up this morning from the stomach to the lower abdomen.  I was also tired all day and took a good 1 1/2 hour nap.  My bbs are sore again, tender.  This morning when I took a hpt I got a faint positive, super faint.  My test says to time it and interpret in 3 minutes.  I didn't see a faint pink line until about 5 minutes.

March 16, 2011 9dp3dt

Today I am officially 9 days post, 3 day transfer.  My sense of smell may be heightened and my bbs are still tender.  I am peeing as frequently as usual.

Yesterday 8dp3dt, I got the slightest pink line, positive.  I retested at night and got an ever so darker line than in the morning.

I am now hoping that it will continue to darken in the next few days.  I am also dreading what they call a chemical pregnancy.  I am not having any symptoms such as cramping, headache, or even fatigue.  Also, as of two days ago my cm changed from super thick from the Crinone to egg white with the Crinone residue.

On 6dp3dt I had an unexpected bout of diarrhea right after breakfast.

I just want a baby, singleton or twins, I don't care.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

March 8, 2011

I am still experiencing bloatedness and ovary pain.  Michael measured one ovary today and it was 6cm big.  That would explain it.  I have been googling how long this may go on and I am finding up to 8 weeks or so.

I am still thinking about my little embryos.  I think they should be 16 celled by now.  Hopefully tomorrow they will be blastocysts and then on Thursday they will implant.  I hope that they have survived.

I will also hear how the other five embryos did in the lab and how many will become frosties.

Monday, March 7, 2011

March 7, 2011 Embryo Transfer Day

Today we had two of the best 8-cell embryos transferred.  I took 10 mg of valium and have slept until this afternoon.  The hcg pregnancy test will be March 22.  I am going to cheat an do it 10 days post Ovidrel shot.

Sunday, March 6, 2011

March 6, 2011 Day 13

We heard from the RE today.  We still have 7 embryos.  Six of them are four cells and one has seven cells.  We are ready for transfer tomorrow morning.  I took my last dose of doxycycline tonight.  I am excited and nervous at the same time.

March 5, Day 11

Today we got the news that 11 had been retrieved, 10 were mature, and 7 were fertilized.  I was hoping for more.  Tomorrow we will learn of the transfer time.  I begin Crinone tonight.

Friday, March 4, 2011

March 4, 2011 Day 10

Today was egg retrieval day.  I had wonderful nurses and everything went exceptionally well.  I have little to no cramping.  I am not taking anything and so far I have no spotting, 2 hrs. ago.  They were able to aspirate 11 mature eggs.  Tomorrow we will find out how many fertilized.

Thursday, March 3, 2011

March 3, 2011

Today I didn't have to give myself any injections.  I only had to take the doxycycline.  Tomorrow morning is the egg retrieval day.  I have to be at the Reproductive Medicine Group at 6:45 am.  I am hoping everything goes smoothly and recovery is a breeze.

February 25, 2011 Stimulation Day 3

I went to the RE today and got my blood drawn this morning.

I also took my third injection and things are still going good.  I have no significant symptoms yet.  I think I am feeling a little bloated, but a feeling only of have to use the bathroom.

My husband had to start his twice a day doxycycline.

We cheated today, my husband is an OB/GYN so I went in to measure some of the follicles.  I already had one that was a 12mm.  I need at least three that are 11mm+ by Sunday.

We also went to the gym and I did light weights and then walked slowly on the treadmill at a steep incline for 30 minutes.  I didn't get to run/walk as far as usual and I didn't get to burn as many calories as usual, but I feel good for doing it.

Thursday, February 24, 2011

February 24, 2011 Stimulation Day 2

Today is day 2 and I don't feel any different.  I am still not feeling my ovaries swelling.

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

February 23, 2011 Stimulation Day 1

Today was stimulation Day 1.  I went to the office at 7:30 am for a urine pregnancy test and vitals.  From there I was taken to ultrasound to have my follicles counted.  She counted 10 on the right and 8 on my left.  They ranged in size from 2mm-8mm.  After that they drew 5 vials of blood.  I got my first injection and was monitored for 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes I had little to no marking on my belly.

The next hoop is to have at least 3 follicles at or above 11mm.
Give myself a shot tomorrow before noon time.
Friday have a Stimulation Day 3 appointment.

All is good so far : )
