What's going on September 12, 1975 12 September 1975

I haven't posted in forever.  ALL the kids are good!  This post is about me

I always believed that I was born in Seoul, Korea.  I was abandoned and found by the Dubong Police and turned over to an adoption organization in Seoul, Korea Social Services.  On September 13, 1975, a physician estimated my date of birth to be September 12, 1975.  I remained at the orphanage until mid January, 1976 when I was flown over to the United States of America to a wonderful family in Maine.  Fast forward to September 17, 2018.  I received an email based on my request for records that indicated I was born to unwed parents.  They showed up at an unknown midwife clinic located in Seoul with my mother in labor.  I was born a twin.  The parents had an argument over the care for us.  On September 17, 1975 the father brought me back to the midwife claiming that the son had died and he was afraid I would too so he handed me off.  The older midwife, nearing 70, turned me over to Korea Social Services.  Korea Social Services named me after the midwife, Hye Kyung Park.

I think it was easier believing I was abandoned all these year, like most of us Korean adoptees think rather than getting this story.  Part of me feels like my brother could be alive and that they kept him, he could have been placed for adoption, or really did die.

Here are the childrens' Valentine boxes for 2017.  The first one is Enderman from Minecraft.  The second is an alligator/dragon made from a Cascade dishwasher tab container, and the last one is a Minion.  I got my ideas from Pinterest.

October 13, 2011 33 Weeks, 7 days

When I first became pregnant and learned about the triplets my personal goal was to make it to 34 weeks!

I have made it quite far without many complications.  The carpal tunnel is now getting worse in my left hand too.  I can't wait for that to go away.

I found a triplets recycling group on Facebook.  I recently purchased an octopus and turtle stuffed bottle holder.  There are a few more things to buy...

Also this week we bought at 2011 Peg Perego triplette stroller and three 2010 Peg Perego car seats for $900.  What a deal.

My parents will be home from their trip tomorrow.  So I could go into labor anytime.

Sleeping at night.  Sometimes I wake up 5-6 times a night to go pee.  Other nights I can wake up just twice.  I can't figure it out.  I think it has to do with how active the babies are.  I also am contracting more in the evening than during the day.  I don't know why?

This weekend we will do our usual Sam's Club run.  This will probably be my last one as I am wearing out quickly these days.  I can't bend over comfortably, so often when I drop something, I take notice, and then have to walk away.

32 weeks, 3 days pregnant with triplets

I made it to another milestone!  Yeah, I continue to do well.  I am resting a lot now as I have for the last two weeks.  If I go for a walk it is about six houses down and back and very slowly.  The heat is really bothering me so I often don't go outside during the day.  I can't believe that I have less than 19 days left now.  I am really excited.

Last Monday I had diarrhea and on Wednesday I was diagnosed with a yeast infection, I didn't see that one coming.  I have only gained about a pound in a week.  So far I have gained about 42 pounds.

29 Weeks, 5days pregnant with triplets

I am still pregnant, thankfully.  The terbuline is still working and I am getting used to the side effects.  My carpal tunnel has returned, but much worse in my right hand than before.

As of last Tuesday the babies were weighing 2.9, 2.6, and 2.5.  I am glad that they are staying together.  I wonder what it must be like for them being all together in there.

I have now decided that I don't want them to come out.  I want to keep them there where I know it is safe and peaceful outside.

I have been doing too much around the house and I need to take it easier.  Tomorrow I am going to try my best to veg on the couch and in bed.

Oh yeah, on Sunday we had pictures taken of us at home.  I hope they turn out great!

28 Weeks, 1 Day Expecting Triplets

Well, on Thursday I woke up still feeling contractions, but I felt a little different.  I was experiencing a tingling sensation down below.  I worked a half day and then went to the hospital to get monitored.  I found out that I was having more contractions than I thought and I was dilated a cm.  I got a shot of steroids and Terbutaline.  The Terbutaline seemed to help, but the side effects were not that great, racing heart, breathing changed, and a nervous shakiness on the inside.  I got a Rx for the terbutaline and didn't sleep much last night.  The steroid shot seemed to really help the temporary carpal tunnel that I have acquired.

The babies were scanned and all are measuring 2.2 lbs and one is 2.4 lbs.  The amniotic fluid levels look good, hearts look good, and they are all active.  We think one of them has a Goodstein nose.  I can't wait to meet them, but I want to keep them in another four weeks.

I am so sad.  I was so looking forward to the end of the week when I would be done with work and then at home able to do things around the house and rest.  Now I can't do anything around the house, just rest.

My friend Debbie and her husband came by last night and dropped off some of her grandson's clothing and bottles too.  Debbie also got me started on some of the necessities like, hooded towels, washcloths, preemie sleepers, onesies with matching pants, and baby nighttime lotion.

Last Saturday we drove to Palm Harbor and met the kindest lady who gave us 18 Dr. Brown's 4 oz bottles, lots of 0-3 month clothing, and the best pregnancy C shaped pillow.  I love that thing.

26 weeks, 6 days

I am now back to work for three weeks.  I am about to finish week 2.

My feet are still swollen and I have developed carpal tunnel about a week ago.  I have only gained 3lbs since the last posting.  I have gained a total of 35 lbs.

On Tuesday I went to the OB.  I was measuring 36 weeks and found out that according to research, there are no advantages for going over 33 weeks.  I think there are, like weight gain.  The doctor says the lungs are developed among the triplets.

Yesterday I started having contractions.  I think it was from dehydration.  Today I had a few more.  I can't wait to be home and just rest.
